The opening ceremonies included presentations by Langley Aldermen Alfred Nundal and Muriel Arnason, BC Ringette Association president Gordon Scott, and Langley Ringette Association's Gail Chenier. The provincials had 52 games and teams included Langley, North Shore Winter Club, Aldergrove, Port Coquitlam, Prince George, North West Vancouver, Vanderhoof, Fraser Lake, and Howe Sound. This was the first time that Prince George, Vanderhoof, Fraser Lake and Howe Sound participated in the provincial tournament. These teams participated at an exhibition level.

In the belle division, Aldergrove defeated Langley 8-4 to take the championship. Poco beat North Shore Winter Club in the junior belle division. In tweens, North Shore Winter Club earned the gold over Aldergrove. In the petite division, North Shore Winter Club beat Langley to win first place.

During the closing ceremonies on Sunday evening, trophies and banners were awarded to the winning teams. Sportsgalship recipients received recognition.
