Constitution

The West Coast Ringette Historical Society is a registered non-profit society established in 2019 to preserve, provide access to, share, and present the history of ringette in British Columbia.

Activities

We are volunteers who work towards preserving and presenting ringette history in various ways, including:

  • Collecting ringette memorabilia and maintaining an archives of ringette-related documents, photographs and videos. 
  • Attending ringette tournaments and community events showcasing ringette's past and promoting its future. 
  • Maintaining a website and writing about ringette history. 
  • Holding special ringette alumni events. 

Membership

You can become involved to help! We accept members and volunteers interested in sharing our goals. 

Membership categories: 

  • Contact - $0 - join our mailing list
  • Individual member - $10 - become a voting member, and join our mailing list
  • Organizational member - $50 - become a voting member (1 vote per organization), and join our mailing list. 

Members can e-transfer their payments to: [email protected] 

Individual and organizational members can receive discounted travel and home insurance through our affiliation with the BC Historical Federation

Donations

Do you have ringette artifacts or archives that you would like to donate? Or, would you like to make a cash donation to help our non-profit heritage organization grow? Contact us to donate. We accept donations from around BC. Examples include:

  • Documents and textual records (tournament programs, newsletters, scoresheets, drills and lesson plans, rosters, association archival records, posters, signs, and ephemera)
  • Photographs (digital and physical copies of ringette-related photographs. 
  • Scrapbooks, books, and clippings (from newspapers)
  • Objects (medals, equipment, banners, trophies, clothing, souvenirs, pins, toys)

Collections

This website contains a catalogue of the collections of the West Coast Ringette Historical Society. Collections are published with the permission of the donors for purposes of education and preservation.
