Caption reads: "Facing off in a demonstration of ringette hockey were Hajnalka Toro, left, and Cathy Boots, right, 16 year old students from LSS. Posing as a referee was Mrs. T. Cuthbert, head of the steering committee which is exploring the possibilities of organizing the new girls winter sport. Mrs. Cuthbert has been addressing assemblies of girls at the local secondary schools. If parents give their consent to the proposed sport, Mrs. Cuthbert hopes to have the league operating by early November."
