The photograph caption reads: "Hallowe'en ringette game played on Saturday featured Old Man, Coach jim McKissock of the Budget Break and Muffler team with his own idea of head protection. Apart from the clowning the Budget team played a strong game against tough competition to top the Langley Sportsman team 8-7 in the Tweens division.

The Langley HiLo Petites tied PoCo 4-4 with Langley's goals scored by Debbie Gambling and Nicole Burdes.

In Petites, the Langley Flicks lost to PoCo 4-2 with Langley players Erin Bull and Heather Livingstone scoring.

In Tweens, the Langley Sportsman took on the Budget Break and Muffler for a close game that went 8-7 for Budget Break and Muffler. Scoring for the Sportsman were D. Boner, Shelley Harvey, Jodi Smit and Lavra Lepard. Scoring for Budget Break and Muffler were Michelle Rivers, L. Chatters, Bonnie McKissich, and Paula Erickson.

In Junior Belles, the Langley Aldergrove Sports squad beat PoCo Lepholtz 7 to 3. Scoring for Langley was Leona Cullen, Laura Ericksen, Jeanine Burdes, Sandra Chenier and Debbie Chenier.

The Aldergrove side later beat North West Vancouver 4-2 with Jeanine Burdes, Debbie Chenier and Leons Cullen leading the scoreboard.

The Langley Johnson Rowdies beat PoCo Valley 7-3 with goals scored by Kristin Rainey, Michelle Williamson, Tammy Ruhland, and Gail Garrison.

In Belles, the Langley Big O Tire lost to the North West Vancouver Sussex Insurance 6 to 3. Langley later defeated PoCo 6 to 0 with goals by Jennifer McKinnon, Kathy Meek, Debbie Crawford and Leah Pelkie. Big O Tires Belles' goalie, Jill Blight, earned her first shutout in the seven years she played with PoCo.
